hello
i tried a so cal and a san dimas : very good moments with a Marshall
and i was happy with these guitars in the guitar shop
big guitars, big body
but the difference with a strat is that
the fretboard is slightly wider ( the distance between the 6 string and the 1st string (the neck) is larger? than a strat )
that's what i noticed like some people
it's not perfect : it's not a double cut
!! but i tried a PRS se floyd: good sensations too !! and some strat sounds
mahogany but good clean tones: amazing split tones!! hard choice but
i read that the so cal / san dimas had a hole in the body true ?
in fact, these guitars would be ready to have another pickup in the middle position
so
do you know a pickup for the middle position ?
which pickup would you put to have the 4th position of a strat ?
there is SH1 or sh6 A SINGLE COIL PICKUP and sh4 or SH6
i think about a SSL2 (different sound compared to a SSL1? )
there will be split coils too
this guitar has good clean tones: i really don't know if the split of the sh1 would be good and interesting
