Guys! I need a few recommendation from you guys!
If you were going to pick an amp which of these will you choose?
Blackstar HT5
Vox Av30
Fender Bassbreaker 007 (with a reverb pedal)

I'm in a dilemma now.....

We'll need some more info to really give you solid advice. What kind of music do you play, and what kind of tone are you looking for? What amount of wattage are you looking at, and will this be for bedroom playing only or will it also be used with a band? How much is the max you're willing to spend?

Beside the normal 'rock blues metal' I do like having a little bit of jazz. I also enjoy djenty stuff. I would say slightly more than bedroom playing. Budget wise.....less than RM 2100? That's like USD550

Re: Cheap tube amps selection

I would say the Vox then. A great amp with more variety because of the modeling. But it is not a true tube amp.

Used Bandit

If you plan on playing out anywhere
The 5 watt and 7 watt amps may get lost with a drummer

Re: Cheap tube amps selection

Rock, Blues, Metal helps a little, but I play that, but maybe not like you--and I'm not satisfied doing all three with the same amp. Also, do you play rock 60% of the time, Metal 35% and Blues 5%? Does rock mean the Who or Van Halen? Those are really big differences. I'd really prioritize on getting the amp for the sound that you play most, and then secondarily try to pick up the others.

If you are open to other suggestions, here's just a couple of suggestions:

Peavey Classic 30 watt 1x12 combo (I think very versatile with some great sounds)
Marshall DSL15C 15 watt 1x12 combo (If you want discount all-tube "British")

Or for a little more (save a little longer or buy used):
Fender Bassbreaker 15 1x12 combo (A very nice middle of the road, can do a lot, but not either extreme well)
Peavey 6505 112 60 watt 1x12 combo (great for hard rock and metal if that's what you want most)

EDIT: I know a lot of people like VOX. I've never found one I liked, but you may love it.

Re: Cheap tube amps selection

Ibanez TSA-15 or TSA-30 & take the money that you saved by not taking one of the others & put it into a great reverb pedal,! Perhaps a few other stomp boxes as well???

I just need an amp that can give pleasant volume for me and my parents lol
Since I play it in my living room all the time

The 'rock' means ACDC stuff hahahhaa. For metal I would like to play Metallica, Judas Priest, some Dorje stuff and maybe some Ola Englund's stuff. I really wanted the DSL5c for the British sound but it is just out of my budget, same goes to the other 3...

I hear ya. The bummer is that, with your budget you are totally in striking distance of the heads, but the combos are a bit more dear. Unless you have an immediate need or no income, since this is the rig you might be playing for a few years, you might consider delaying your purchase until you can afford one of these that's maybe 100 pounds out of your range now. Really I think there are some nice sounding, very low amp combos, but the minute you leave the bedroom, other guitarists will walk on you and heaven forbid there's a drum kit. I run a pair of 15 watters into a 4x12 and it does fine, but just one is really borderline for playing with others in my experience.

Good luck finding your right amp!

Honestly, unless it's a practice amp or a nice Fender spring, I almost never use the simple reverbs in the amp anyways. Between the two, I'd rather have a quality, parallel effects loop.
