Howdy,

I've had this guitar for about 5 months and am really happy with it so I figured I'd post some pics. Bought new with Seth Lovers in it.

Hope you like.

Cool! Heritage makes some great stuff - they definitely put Gibson to shame.

That's it, I've had it. This thread has pushed me over the edge, I'm just gonna have to get a Heritage!

Isn't it great how that Maple has the figuring, but still has strong swirl grains as well? It's almost like figured Ash. They make great guitars, you should be proud. Now to fix that humbucker covered/uncovered mismatch you've got going on there...:laugh2: And I'd put the Rhythm/Treble cover under the toggle, but it looks good either way. It's decidedly "non-Gibson" without it, and that's cool in a way, too.

I did the Peter Green mod on the neck pu and didn't want to solder the cover back on until I was certain.

Well... I like the way it sounds with the cover off, and I like the sound of the bridge pu with the cover on, so I've kept it this way, even if it looks a little funky to some.

Nice guitar, I too just did the Peter Green mod to my neck pickup. I also removed my bridge and neck PU covers.

How do you like the mod?

Beautiful git-box bro' :D

Did you buy from Jay Wolfe?
Was the nut good right off the bat? (I finally replaced the nut on my 535 'coz the original just wasn't cut right.)

"Funky to some" always looks just right to me. Purty!

I did buy it from Jay Wolfe, and to be perfectly honest he was not that nice or helpful, and gave me 3 different prices for this guitar (about only a $50 difference - but still). And I was a bit remorseful when I received the guitar (I'm in CA - he's in FL).

I did not like the setup they did at all - obviously this is a subjective area, but it wasn't right.

It has those cool looking retro Spertzel tuners. But I have to wrap the strings around the posts like three times b/c the holes in the post are high and the need to get enough angel at the nut.

... Or maybe a new nut would fix this? The G string tends to rattle at the bridge also - but is way better/gone if I give 3 wraps on the post when restringing (I called Heritage and they told me to do this). It's not the saddle and the stop tail is down enough.
I've never had any issues like this with any of my other guitars.

I never even considered buying a guitar without playing it and my wife told me I was nuts for doing it. But I've always liked every Heritage I play so I went for it, and he's got a large selection with the options/color I wanted.

But, I love this guitar. It plays and looks great, and really honks like an old LP. I don't know that I would buy from Jay Wolfe again... maybe I'll get a used one on ebay.

Someone else who had a bad experience with Jay Wolfe? Well, at least there's two of us.

Nice looking guitar though! Makes me want to add a non-G&L to the stable.

It's sweet looking though... beautiful figure that top has! :D

Okay buddy... :chairfall

Nice guitar but I can't let that comment go un-laughed at.

I'll tell you what Mephis, Gibson makes some great instruments, but they also put out a lot of crap, period.

A BC Rich Warlock makes me laugh out loud - I bet it's got the goofy as all hell widow headstock. And if not, anything that's named warlock is goofy any way.

:laugh2: That. Is a good post. I like the Peter Green mod a lot actually definatly changes the neck pickups tone a lot(for the better, in my opinion)

I personally love Gibsons, I love SG's, Firebirds and Flying V's the most and like Les Pauls. I love gibsons, but the truth of the matter is. You have to work to find a good one these days, in most situations you will play 3 or 4(and thats giving Gibson some slack) crappy Gibsons before you find a good one.

Nice to hear someone else recording a H150 albeit with a mod I don't have - I'm referring to https://forum.seymourduncan.com/showthread.php?t=81132 ofcourse.
Indeed it has a genuine Peter Green vibe! (If you wanna hear someone else with the same guitar with Duncan '59s and without the mod check my site.)
Sorry for the trouble you have with the high string post holes of your vintage looking Schallers. But you do have the tight grip on your strings - you only have to make sure you wrap the strings so they sit low enough - so that's allways an advantage over the regular Grovers. I have to be very precise when I put on new strings, tying them in a good knot otherwise the G and B slip quite easily
I've allways wondered if my Heritage has this deep set neck tenon people always talk about. Did you see anything of it when you removed the neck pick up?

It was my 1st guitar that was $100.

I don't plan on getting rid of my 1st guitar.
