In fact $75 for parts (including PCB with standoffs), $100 for good PWR and OP xfmrs and another $40 for chassis - 215 without cabinet and speaker. But you are right build is the way to go not very difficult and when your done you do have an amp as good or better than the $1,000 Fender model.Wow... This thread has gone way to far for no one to mention DIY. You can build that amp for a spare tranny or 2, and $40 worth of parts. It's not like they are hiding any magic anymore. Those circuits are about as simple as they come.
Be like Nike. Just do it.
It isn't the fact that it is made in China that is the problem for me. It is the fact that it comes from a website selling fakes of other gear. I just wouldn't want to support a company like that.
I'm always bemused how the country of origin...China....provokes emotional negativity from a lot of folks, probably related to job losses in the USA more than any other real facts. But get used to it...it's a global market these days, OR just don't buy anything from China! BTW, good luck with that.
I too find the China thing quite comical. Especially when someone goes on about the evils of buying anything from China... you know... as they type their soapbox rant on a CHINESE-made computer or smart device. Buying Chinese is the world that we live in now. And unless we're going to build a cabin deep in the wilderness and live like Dick Proenneke... we're going to be buying and using Chinese stuff. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my American-made Tom Anderson Classic strats, Friedman Smallbox and Splawn Quickrod. But there are a LOT of great quality Chinese products out there these days. My three main (gigging) nylon string classical/flamenco Cordoba guitars were all made in China. I just sold the last of my Spanish made Cordobas because for me, the Chinese ones were better. I don't like the fact that the Chinese monster has taken over the world, but since I live in the real world... that's just the way it is.
Most of what you say is true BUT when they advertise Seymour Duncan or EMG pickups in the guitar and a close look reveals that there is no way they are Seymour Duncan's for example, the humbucker pickups have slugs on both side, no screws they are falsely advertising their product and if they will do this with the pickups you have to wonder about what they claim regarding the rest of the guitar. With the amp in question the pictures show two different types of components and one picture is in a parking lot with no control knobs just to hit the high points. Yes we have to accept China a a major supplier to US companies with quality control systems in place but for an individual to buy a China product from any old seller is a risky proposition at best.

^^ Those are all the same amp made by Goldea. You could have the name of your choice on them, if you order a specified minimum quantity. Many Chinese manufacturers are OEM manufacturer's ..so they will tweak their product a bit (change the odd component...ie caps etc) & re-label it according to the buyer's requirements...
I mean EMG & Duncan are'nt Chinese company's, but Goldea is. I don't see why they would fake their own stuff (?)...lol my Goldea (red faced one up there..) had a street price of $150 anyway :laugh2:
I have a Fender Champion 600 and I bought it for the tone, which is excellent.
But how can people consider $200+ for Chinese-made a possible bargain and dismiss under $200 as crap? I guess we found someone's crap line, and it appears to have nothing to do with music or sound.
