I've never understood Clapton' fascination with playing a fender and using additional electronics to produce a sound similar to what he had with Gibsons in Cream.

for me, the neck position with the boost would be great for the fat blues
the new elite strat has the s1 :it's different but it brings another kind of sound, not vintage blues
a darker sound and fatter ?
i tried it but i need to play with the Clapton model too
about the bridge pickup +the boost for the EC model
can we shred? or would it be better with a new strat deluxe hss ? for high gain
so if you have a hss and Clapton model, which is the best ?
All S1 does is offer different switching options. Putting the neck and middle in series will make it a little hotter and darker, the Clapton Boost is an active preamp, completely different ball game. It adds a ton more output which will thicken and saturate the next gain stage.
i think if this guitar has a boost , i don't need another boostYou can always get a Pickup Booster or Killing Floor and not worry about an onboard boost.
I had one- it's great for a low to medium gain amp, but didn't mix well with my EVH 5150 III
Can't say. Never owned one.is it like a boost pedal ?.
if it can sound like a humbucker ok
but will it be enough vs a sh4 or paf pro ?
It's actually much much louder than a humbucker
