Isn't Clapton using the Fender Noiseless pickups?

Strats are the most popular guitars on the planet...that's why you see so many. :laugh2:
That offends me. Les Pauls and PRS are better.

why would it offend you...you didn't design either of the 3, and what is really better...I find a Strat far more useful that a Paul and/or a PRS, and if I had to do a show wit only one guitar I would take a Tele...

Re: Claptons pickups

Funny this post started off about his tone and pickups on the DVD. I thought he sounded great, raw and cutting (and yes I'm a Fresh Cream/Layala man too!). I think this post has overlooked the bigger factor in his tone on the DVD. He's using Tweed and pre Tweed Fender amps (I'm guessing they are reissues?).

It doesn't offend me... I was just making fun of liberal maniacs who are offended by everything. But I like the PRS CE 22 best probably out of any guitar the way it comes from the factory. Mmmmm. I don't like teles, personally, but I suppose the most versitile would be a push-pull PRS or a fat strat.
