Re: Clean tones - MATCHLESS versus FENDER
Well, I don't have a Matchless, but as I understand it my Bad Cat Cub IIR is pretty much the same animal (at least the 12AX7 side). I also own a couple of Fenders (tweed, BF, SF). For clean I would have to go with the Bad Cat or tweed for my Teles. For Strats and Gibsons, I'd probably lean more toward the Bad Cat or a BF Fender. So overall, the Bad Cat/Matchless would win by a whisker.
