Cleans on JCM 800

By turning down the vol knob can I get a decent clean sound? Not Fender obviously compared to TSL clean?

Or will it be gritty and thin?

You can clean up a JCM800 a bit...but to be honest its nothing to write home about, I used to own one, and I'd say that the TSL gets a slightly better clean tone.

Turning the volume of my guitar down gets a pretty good clean. IT will not sound like a fender but does sound pretty good. Think slash and 80's metal clean sounds.
