CLIP: New song using TonePort UX2

Re: CLIP: New song using TonePort UX2

I like those melodic "solo" parts ALOT. Which amp patches did you use?

You're a killer player for sure. I can definately see you go places, those solos are amazing.

Great stuff BIU ,i loved the 2. part with heavy tones. It ha the Cure feeling ,but something better ,more rock and more "living"
The only (-) is that your signal is clipping. If you mix it again ,i want to hear it and download it.
Thanx again !Nice stuff!

I really like the way the two guitars play off of each other in the main rhythm. The left channel could stand to be a little bit louder so the guitar tracks are at an even volume with each other..

Re: CLIP: New song using TonePort UX2

Thanks for listening, guys!!! And a big thanks for the advice: it's been so long since I last recorded something, that I don't think I remember a lot about mixing and whatnot.

All the tones I used are Line 6 presets that were tweaked VERY slightly (usually just volume). I used the "Club Tone", some big SOLO100 tone, and "Like Heaven" quite a bit. I can't remember the name of the other one I used, but it was under the Crunch category.
I think a big part of the tone was my DiMarzio Breed split.

Daemon, are there specific parts where the signal clips? Garage Band says that there is no signal clip, but I have reason to believe some parts that I recorded may have been too hot to begin with.
Maybe somebody here can explain to me why my Breed clips the signal going into the TonePort (the clip lights light up) on SOME palm-mutes (but only in full humbucking mode). I don't get it! I even lowered the pickup more, and I still sometimes get it.

Jolly, I'll look into boosting the left channel, I KNEW something was overpowering to one side.

Thanks again for the awesome response, guys!

i have the ux2 too.and it clipped as you said!
Maybe you have to make the recording output level lower.it helps.!
but it is a small issue ,and i have the same problem many times too.So enjoy what you did.it was great!

I can totally dig it bro! Great tones, especially considering what it is. Don't make me buy one!

Re: CLIP: New song using TonePort UX2

Great to hear more stuff from you Biu! You've always had a knack for complementing guitar parts with each other so well!

Re: CLIP: New song using TonePort UX2

Wow! I thought this was dead long ago. Thanks for listening!

I REALLY want to record more stuff, but college has kept me up to my neck in work and study :(

Thanksgiving break, that's the goal!!!
