Clyde McCoy Wah Mods

If anyone wants their Dunlop or Vox wah pedal modified to sound similar to the original Clyde McCoy Wahs let me know. Your wah must NOT have the circuit board mounted jacks or these mods will not work with the boards I have made. This mod includes an output buffer so you can put your wah before a fuzz pedal. If you choose not to have the output buffer let me know and I can work around it. I will provide you with a cost after you let me know which wah you have. Feel free to ask any questions.

I did not come up with these mods myself. I was asked to perform these mods for a forum member and they found the mods on a website. I am just offering this service to help other people achieve this sound.

If I may ask a question.... I know the Clyde is very highly regarded, but never played one. How does this mod change the character of the vox??

I dont know too much about this because I didnt do any research, I was just asked to do these mods for someone. It has transistors with a lower gain so it adds more bass to the sound. Also it uses an ICAR taper pot which is more of a linear pot that is very smooth. The original Clyde McCoy Wah used a different type of capacitor than the modern day Wahs which adds to the tone. I can let you know how it sounds to me when I am finished modding this one. Most of the parts have the same values as the Wahs today.

Cool! Thanks!! more Bass would be cool.. I went from a Bad Horsey to a Vox to a Cantrell. I even tried turning the pot a bit in the vox to try to tame the shrill.

Well, depending on the difference it would make, I might be interested in getting it done. I want to feel confident Id like the change, before having it modded. Im going to check some clyde vids and stuff.
