COB Pedal - Insane pricing!

Have you heard of a COB pedal? It stands for Clean Octave Blend. I do not think the original COB is still made but there are reverse-engineered ones on the market. The originals sell for about $1,000!

I bought a clone of the COB and I am pretty happy with it ... anybody know the real story on the originals, and why the prices are so absurd? If it were me, I would get that thing back on the market!

Oh and regarding getting an original back in the market, Prescription Electronics has been out of business for about a decade.
