I love maple fretboards, but hate the tinted/vintage ones you've posted up, I only like natural/satin ones.

I have a satin one on my strat they just don't have an option for it. I wish I could get a new neck but I just think it's unecessary cost. Of course there is a fender Coronado II neck on the bay right now for $65 US. Block inlays and the whole shebang. It has a black headstock though...that'll have to be stripped. It's a wonder as to why Fender doesn't put blocks as an option on all of their necks/guitars. Same with Gibson and every other company....

personally dude I think all those colors are ugly. i think that would be a sweet looking guitar in a burst color though ( I realize your doing it yourself though)
out of those colors i like the candy apple best

but for sure this is somethin you should choose yourself

ok, CAR is alright... but never with a tort guard. I think MOP guards always look good, and tort guards almost never look good.

Black guards NEVER look good. Except for on teles, which are ugly guitars anyway :laugh2:

Wow Dangly I could have sworn you liked tort guards. I personally think they are the ugliest things ever made. It's 2007, not 1975. MOp guards looks really really classy, I think.

Black guards look very good on Teles, Jangles is right.

Blue if you're going with a maple board. Coral if you're going with rosewood. Both look VERY cool.

These are my thoughts pretty much. I am warming up to the thought of a MOP guard though.
