I absolutely hated the SNS set in my Kauer Banshee, I couldn't find ways to describe how much I detested the tones. Fast forward to this week and my new PRS S2 singlecut with muddy, fizzy stock import S7 pickups. I didn't have many options laying around, especially with nickel covers, so I gave the SNS a shot.
While still not ideal, the tones are all usable with my usual amp settings. The bridge pickups are nice for the tones with less low end and more gain. I can actually see myself using these for a while now. It just goes to show that wood matters and pickups can sound very different in different guitars.
