wow, thanks so much guys, you have no idea how much I would love to see this guy get what he deserves, via jail time w/ tatooed faced gang memebers(probably never gonna happen) or via some good ole fashioned, seymour duncan forum vigilante service!!

I'm assuming the adress I listed of his is probably fake, but if you live there, I could definately try to work out the "pickup of your choice" deal(although I am obviously worse than broke now) and maybe when you are in that area you could check the adress out, I think its an apartment. He also has a work adress, that you could check out too?

He has to live in Betim because that is where all of his WU's are sent to. So I'm really not sure if that adress is fake or not...

So the address is really the only thing that can be proper. If it ain't. What about tracking down the IP address of the comp he uses. I know the police are able to do that sort of thing. I read a stroy about a lady that was murdered by someone she met from the internet and by searching the victim's computer, were able to track down the computer of the offender, and sure enough, there was evidence of the murder case.

I know its a long shot, but its another idea to consider!

Maybe you know a computer wiz in your area that can tap into your computer to figure out the exact location of the computer the fraudulent seller is using?

Don't mean to be a downer but I don't think the police are going to go through all that to recover $900 from an international country. They wouldn't do it if it was the next town over.

Again, not to be a bummer, just realistic...though it never ever hurts to try. I've been keeping ya in my thoughts pal. Don't feel bad. Older people are only wiser because they've done some DUMB things when they were younger. I sure as $h!t have!!!!

Some time in the future this little experience may save you a lot more than the $900 you lost today and you will be glad this happened. Sounds stupid, I know but think back to this post when it does.

thats what I've been hearing and it makes a lot of sense.

When you look at it, its as plain as day now, but at the time I wouldn't have even guessed it was a scam, the excitement mixed with all the tactics he used to trick me it was pretty obvious how he got me. Using the "I have quite a few people interested to get this" was something that kept me from taking it slow and going over everything, along with a ton of other stuff, his friendliness and knowledge.

I really didn't know things like yahoo were completely untracible, or that western union is the worst possible thing to use(I hadn't even heard of it) I thought it went to his bank account! thats what I get for not looking into it though, but I was so excited. This is definately gonna make me question every transaction I do till there isn't a shadow of a doubt, for the rest of my life. I will also never trust anyone I don't know personally with anything of value.

I'll be over it soon enough, I'm just so bummed now that I'm completely ampless because I sold my amp on ebay to pay this bastard and now I'm broke too.
And cause I was such a sucker!

Not to be mean, but being 15, how did you get $900? And on top of that, how did your parents let you spend it?

I have to wait weeks finding everything out, and testing the item, and everything b4 I can even spend $100 (Of my own money) and im 17.

Advice for next time, Dont buy from individuals unless they are well known members of THIS forum. Or Muscians firend.

YES, do that, track the IP, track the last time he used that IP and then... send the names and infos, tellfones too fo the INTERNET PROVIDER, i´ll try to get some info too.
