Consensus on any of the guitar rigs? Especially 5?

Re: Consensus on any of the guitar rigs? Especially 5?

Revalver smokes all the other amp sims, especially once you start tweaking the amps' internals and using 3rd party IRs.

dang dominus, thats some major options. another one of my friends uses that as well, thats like 3 bills or so right?

i've heard good things about amplitube as well, RA.

I really like amplitube.

And its free. With several amps and effects. And you can add whichever few amps you want and come our much cheaper than the other options.

Plus adding a piece at a time is awesome. I've added a few things and couldn't be happier.

Amplitube is 3 bills when you load it up. I've used it *inside* Revalver, as Revalver also doubles as a VST host, so you can also easily add all those free amp sims to the Revalver rack and go nuts. I even use Revalver with physical amplifiers. I run the signal from the effects send into the computer and load up a power amp and cabinet inside Revalver.

I have been having fun with my ezmix II guitar gods, recorded my song "machine" with it last month:

Revalver MkIII.V is good, but I prefer the sound of the LePou plugins, which are free... http://lepouplugins.blogspot.com

Couple these with cabinet and mic IRs from the likes of Redwirez http://www.redwirez.com and you will have a great sounding and versatile virtual setup. No effects, but great for straight amp sounds. Especially good for those on a budget.

Cheers.................................... wahwah

Go check my song No One Wants To See You. It's in the first page of tips & clips. I used LePou plugins with ReValver as an impulse cab for the whole song. The sounds are quite good IMHO.

GRs are quite garbage if you ask me. LePou is free and miiiiiiles ahead of GR and ReValver is awesome too.

ya it is. I already bought ezmix cause I dont know much about mixing and wanted to experiment, so the add on pack was $50
