Considering to make a neck-thru V guitar

Re: Considering to make a neck-thru V guitar

How do the wings become interchangable???

I think in that case that the method of attachment and also the quality of interface of the individual bits might become a factor here.

I think they hold them in place with silly string. They bolt on to the sides i beleve. Either way the wings would change the tone because imo once glued the wood acts as one and works like a single piece.

I was kind of thinking, that even just the reflecting sound off the surface would change it. The strings gs are in a place where the wings will still get some reflection.

And bolt on the sides? Would you have happened to have seen a magnesium guitar? If not never mind. They're not sold states side anyway, the guitar I'm thinking of anyway.

Certainly I'm of the belief that everything changes tone....even if the shift is subtle to practically inaudible. With the bolt on you are relying on the quality of the interface being really good, and the wood being very straight along a rather long area. I would be inclined to think (not having seen the guitar) that there could be artifacts included based on the fact that the sides might be of variable fit quality. My experience would see this as a more like cause of tonal shift.
For mine a better test would be to have a neckthru billet cut up and made into guitars with different wings.

Oh how's the Bcrich neck thru V? I've been wanting to buy one myself, probably off reverb, though.

I'm really loving this guitar.
