Control knobs on a Black Les Paul custom

Black Les Paul Customs come with Black knobs and it looks great but they are sort of generic looking.
I decided to change things up and put gold knobs and an amber switch tip on mine. I like it.

What do you think?

Not bad. I'd be curious what reflector bell knobs would look like, too.

I'd like to see some Tele-style gold knobs on that Custom. Would look pretty sweet, I think.

Here's my Epi w/ reflectors

Don't they make reflectors with Gold on top?
That'd be interesting...

Does stringing through the stopbar help at all? I've seen Zakk Wylde do it, but I don't know how much it changes things.

The gold ones look okay with the gold hardware--but nothing beats black speed knobs on a black Les Paul--whether Custom, Standard or anything else.

That said--it is your guitar.

I do it in spite of Zakk Wylde.

Wrapping decreases the bearing pressure across the bridge which allows strings to be a little slinkier feeling...making the 10-48 set I use feel like a 9.5 or so gauge.

There are probably a million threads about top wrapping on the web at various forums
