ive never owned an explorer shape. i dont mind the graphic if I am using it to play metal.

Honestly, go for it. Who cares about the graphic? I think it's a cool looking shape with nice features.

The graphic is not cheesy at all, at least compared to abalone binding (yuck!), but the problem with graphic is you'll get fed up sooner or later, it's not timeless like a flame top or plain finish.

This is a very good point. I like the silver one and would hope that along with inlay, pickups and an ebony board, that indeed as someone posted previously, there would be additional perks like better wood and/or craftsmanship. Still, not buying it tomorrow. I'd love this in black and also pearl white.

I want to thank of everyone for the input. To be honest Verbotenco wins for the best point about how well this will wear. I played this a week ago, and while I like the graphic, it hasn't worn well. It'd be cool if I was famous and had all eyes on me while gigging. Moreover, the more I looked at the silver finish the more I liked it. So I will be passing on the graphic for now.

I will admit, the graphic of Peace Sells or Rust in Peace, if it were on the Zero, to me would wear well.

this from one who does not care for pointy and/or metal guitars or Explorer types, in general: That's halfway cool.

if i were gonna play an Explorer type that would be the one i'd play.
