OK dudes...this very well may be the coolest, classiest most awesome NAD I have ever presented:

Presenting my new Vintage47 "Western Tonemaster". This is a copy of an old Gretsch amp from the 50's, complete with 6V6s and octal preamp. Feast your eyes on this setup:

Congratulations.!
Dave is The King where all those old Valco/Oahu amps are concerned.

Such a sweet collection of amps!

I'd forgotten about the thread pertaining to building a cab for your ammo can amp. That thing looks just like I'd envisioned.

And the new amp looks fantastic. It's interesting that amp companies haven't utilized upholstery tacks more often. :33:

Wild - congrats!

Wonder why he put the controls on the back and sideways versus the handle. Is it meant to also be set on the short side?

Thanks Joe. I will end up refinishing the canister the same color green as my cab eventually. The camo paint I found wasnt quite a match.

It's funny, the two amps that get played the most out of these are the Silvertone 1482 and the ammo can amp. That Silvertone has some kind of sweet sounding mojo juice in it somewhere. I have never heard another one that sounds as good. Even the one I sold to Joe Walsh didn't sound anywhere near as good.

What a wonderful looking amp, I'd love to take that to a gig. How would you describe the sound ?

You sold an amp to Joe Walsh ? PLEASE tell us about it.
