Copper and Chorme Sheilding Tape?

hey guys,
is there any difference between Copper and Chrome Sheilding Tape? Other then the price and color that is.

Hay' DOM,
Copper is easier to solder to. other then that.. sheilding is sheilding -- Copper probabbly is better but ya won't hear a diff between it and other types.
I use Heavy duty kitchen Foil.. for all my sheilding needs here in my repair shop.

Thanks for the info. now when I use that stuff inside the cavities on my Lespaul where the controls pots are and the toggle switch, do I need to solder anything to the tape? or do i just stick them to the inside of the cavities and done?

EDIT - I was reading around that if I use Sheilding tape, then i'll need to solder the ground from the volume pots from each of the bridge and neck pickups to the tape it self. if thats the case, then will i need to do the same thing for the toggle switch?

i would think that the tape just needs to be connected to the ground, and all your parts should be connected to the central grounding point (usually back of a pot), so I'd wire it to that

ok cool! now would that be the ground from both of the neck and bridge pickups controls (Volume and tone)?

and I am guessing the same thing applies if i want to do the cavity were the toggle switch is?

Go to http://www.guitarnuts.com. and look at the "Quieting the Beast Mod". If you don't have the cap that is recommened or can't get it, put a wire in its place. This will eliminate any ground loops in the wiring.

It can work for any guitar. Just use shielded wire from the switch to the pots.
