Copper shielding and potential for grounding issues.

Hello all.
I am somewhat new to soldering. I have researched and feel comfortable to do it. but I had a question with regards to shielding, copper or paint for that matter. Can the pots touch the shielding? Both volume and tone? or is there a potential for sound issues? Any thoughts are welcomed and greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Usually the back of the pot is suppose to be grounded, so it's not an issue.

The pot casings should make as much contact with the shielding foil as possible. In fact a good design would be, if they sit in solid grounded foil or plate anyway, to not solder to the back of the pots.

I would suggest you graphit 33 instead of copper.
Copper tends to rust with time, leaving that green rust that looks really uggly.
Just my experience.
