just realized the relation between a wraparound tailpiece and a dog-ear p90.

i've never seemed to be able to find a les paul junior or special with a s-t-p/t-o-m bridge and a dog-ear p90 and i wondered why.

it suddenly dawned on me that since t-o-m bridge has a high profile, the dog-ear p90's lack of height adjustment will never work with it even with an angled neck. the action is simply too high for the pickup to get a good tone.

probably that's the reason why a dog-ear p90-equipped gibson must come with a wraparound while those with t-o-m bridge has soapbars.

just a theory.
