Cracks in bobbins?

I have a two toned car
I was doing a word play on the cracked bobbin having too much tone and cracking

I never imagined I would have to explain the pun

It still amazes me how other than the sunbursts and butterscotch the entire style of vintage Fenders was nothing more than 1950's car style. Even down to same exact paints. Copy something that works it's a great recipe for success!

Oh man read the history of Fender
they got the car paint from the dealership
It wasn't a copy of
It was the exact same paint

Yup. I read somewhere, (probably my Fender book), that Dupont invented "Daphne Blue." I emailed them once to ask who the "Daphne" was. They said nobody there remembered. But it was first used on the '53 Cadillac Eldorado.
