Crate V-Series

Hey all. I've heard things like "best kept secret" when talking about the Crate V-series amps..just wondering if anyone knows how they compare to other, more expensive tube combos, and what types of music these things are good for (..metal?) ?

Well like I've said numerous times before it blows away marshall tube combos no contest. But that's only because it's sort of a direct comparision because they are both EL34 amps. I've played everything to blues,jazz,funk, hard rock, metal on mine. It has enough gain for the heavier stuff.

Sweet thanks, now I need to find a store with them in stock so I can give one a ride. They don't even sell them on musiciansfriend.com....music123 has em though.

I might be selling mine, and I put a vintage 30 speaker in it too. Would sell for $400. But that's only because I'm looking for a mesa F-50 head.
