Crossley Guitars...New Workshop

Hi all,
been a bit quiet of late as I have moved from the rat race to a beautiful part of the world called Metung, which is located on the Gippsland Lakes, around a 4 hour drive from Melbourne.
Part of the reason for the move, apart from the obvious (the city is stuffed) was to get a new workshop up and running, and finally I have a bit of room to swing a cat and a guitar around.
I have been making acoustics a bit lately, as well as the electrics, and am really enjoying the art in these little woody beasts.
anyways..
Hope you are all well and rocking the world..

here are some pix of the workshop and an acoustic I am building at the moment..

guitar looks great and the shop looks like a proper shop! not sure what the old one looked like but seems like you have yourself a good place to build instruments

Re: Crossley Guitars...New Workshop

Congrats on the new digs. Looks good. Its always easier to put out quality work when you have a comfortable space.

On that subject, nice looking work, too. I love the spalted grain on the back/sides of that unit.

Re: Crossley Guitars...New Workshop

^^What he said.^^ (Although I don't think that's spalted... looks more like black limba/korina to me... maybe olivewood?)

Re: Crossley Guitars...New Workshop

You crazy aussies with your stylish woods! Keep up the good work.

Re: Crossley Guitars...New Workshop

Glad you're happy with the move Peter, keep enjoying building some of the most beautiful guitars I've seen :)

Re: Crossley Guitars...New Workshop

Wow, keep us updated with the builds. I always love your pics. A true artist.

Re: Crossley Guitars...New Workshop

Good to hear things are going well in Metung, and moving up to acoustics no less!

Spruce or cedar soundboards? Or both?

Re: Crossley Guitars...New Workshop

Awesome stuff. Congrats on the move and the bigger workshop, wishing you well with the business.

Re: Crossley Guitars...New Workshop

Hey Peter! Sweet garage, and as always, sweet guitars.

HEy man - do you do graphic prototypes. Like can you send some kind of artist rendering or something?

Thanks Ace ...long time no speaky....not sure exactly what you mean by graphic prototypes...most of this stuff comes out of my head..
I'm a little slow so if you can explain that a bit more I might get your drift...hope you are well man..

Re: Crossley Guitars...New Workshop

Purpleheart! Love the look of that stuff. I hear it is a pain to work with, though.
