Cry Baby Documentary

I'm sure this is old news (looks like it was made in 2011), but I just finished watching this cool documentary about the Cry Baby. Really interesting and well worth the hour it takes to watch! Also has TONS of great players talking about the ways they use it.

Re: Cry Baby Documentary

I enjoyed that, even though I am a Morley user.

Re: Cry Baby Documentary

It was cool hearing from the guy who invented it about how he came up with it.

I thought that that aspect was already well known. Another serendipitous accident.

I like the contrast between Luke and Edward. One looks elegantly wasted. The other looks like a drunkard who sleeps on a park bench.

That's gold!

Yeah, that's a fun documentary to watch. I drive past the old Thomas Organ property everyday. It was replaced by a big Fedex hub.

On Direct TV, they're starting to play the movie about the legendary studio, Sound City, which is a few miles away from where Crybaby's were made. Here's a good trailer for it. For producing the movie, Dave Grohl got that Neve console.....and maybe more.

The Kirk Hammett comments were price less.... "Its like the ship has already sailed and came back and im still standing there going ...wa wah wah wah waaa."

Yes Kirk... its time to step away from the wah..

Re: Cry Baby Documentary

David Gilmour from Pink Floyd plugged in the pedal back to front to create the electronic screams found in the song 'Echoes'. This technique is sometimes called haw haw.
I discovered this by doing so accidentally.
Great doco. I own a late 70's Jen.

I've watched it a couple times. It's an awesome documentary if you have an hour of free time. The Kirk Hammett comments are definitely the best part of the whole thing lol.
