CS Tele new bridge day....

Sorta tho'...
Had it on my CV Tele before...transplanted it the other night!
It also has Micro Coils pickups now, the bridge is the more adjustable Wilkinson/Gotoh bridge....
This is made a already good sounding Tele into something quite cool for me!
The old bridge bugged me slightly, and the Broadcaster pickups where great, but just not really my thing...I like clarity and natural more:)

Re: CS Tele new bridge day....

Thanks...it is a California Beach version, made for Europe in limited numbers...got a good one, they also made Strats in that Edition.
#28 out of 150 in that colour.

Re: CS Tele new bridge day....

Yeah....dig the green....and the big neck.
Alder body and one piece maple neck, smells deliciously of (C6H10O5)n :D
And the neck is hardened up well too.....it is 10 years old now, was made for the Frankfurt Messe in 04.

Re: CS Tele new bridge day....

Broadcaster not clear? I've never had that issue, but I also have it installed in a Callaham bridge with steel saddles. I actually have a set treble cut on the bridge position.
Anyway, that's a hot looking guitar.

Re: CS Tele new bridge day....

They are oldschool.....nothing from back then is...erm that clear;)
Not that they are not great, they are...but the Micro Coils lets the guitar be the guitar....
And the Gotoh/Wilkinson bridge is just great, not too steely, nor too soft...like the balance.

Re: CS Tele new bridge day....

Now that is one nice looking Tele I must say...and the colour.!!!;) I was infected with Tele fever back in 2006 when I picked up a '52 AVRI Tele that I left stock until this day. I remember how sticky the nitro was for at least 2-3 years, or more. After awhile it's hardened up nicely also. Do you want to swap Teles...no?:deal:

Re: CS Tele new bridge day....

Has anyone ever told you that your Tele's a really cool colour?

Because it is.

Congrats on the new tweaks. :beerchug:

Re: CS Tele new bridge day....

How dare Fender come out with a cool California Beach guitar, and then fail to sell it in California! LOL

Besides the color, I dig all the specs. Seems like a good one.

Re: CS Tele new bridge day....

Hehe no swapping Tele's here;)
Thanks guys, like that big ole neck it has.
It was sheer luck that got me it a year or so ago.

I'll throw in a full set of green coloured guitar picks (Jim Dunlop Tortex 1.14 mm Made in the U.S.A.). Now that should make you ponder in wonder for awhile.;) BTW, what's the neck profile on your guitar? You mentioned it's a big ole neck. The neck profile on mine is very thin but feels great. I read the newer reissues had the thicker U-shaped necks which would feel totally different. I just noticed your offset bridge which is a bonus. You keep that old-school look with new-school intonation...looks great.:)
