Cubase install problems

Anyone on here ever had problems installing Cubase LE on a Mac.
OSX 10.3.9
LE 1.09

No one on the Cubase forum seems to be able to help

It will only do a basic install. Doesn't even prompt for a serial number etc (as it should). Thus I have limited function available.
It's an old emac running OSX 10.3.9.
Cubase came with a Yamaha MW10 and is LE1.09.

Now I suspect this version of LE is for OSX 10.4, hence my problem.
