Custom 8 v Perpetual Burn in mahogany

I have a guitar w/a Floyd, mahogany body, maple neck, 2-octave 25.5" scale ebony board -- the Custom 8 has been working the best of anything so far but I usually ride the volume about 3.5 for the touch sensitive edge of breakup.

When I read about the new PB -- I had to wonder if this pup would give me flexibility with that edge and balance some of the qualities of mahogany for more upper mids and less bass extension whilst maintaining a smooth detailed high end.

My playing mainly varies from blues to rock to jazz/fusion ... and I get along fine with JB's in my maple capped guitars, etc.

Thanks

Edit: Nevermind. I've been feeling under the weather today, and apparently my brain isn't functioning properly, lol.

And I can't help ya, but I'm interested.

Go for it. Not long ago somebody raved about the Perpetual Burn in his Charvel 750XL.
