Custom Rhoads is ordered

ok, people were asking me around to tell em the details on it .. so, here it goes

Rhoads shape, alder body
set maple neck (countoured heel) with maple fingerboard and no inlays, regular jackson pointy headstock
1 3/4 nut width, soft C shape profile (a bit thicker than you might find on a regular 'shred axe' .. i think somehting close to a soloist profile)
14" fretboard radius, dunlop 6100 fretwire, 24 frets

single no more black than this miracle man in the bridge
recessed OFR
one volume, one tone knob
schaller tuners
(all hardware chrome (including mount ring for the pickup)

oxblood finnish (have to talk to laz and see if it's possible to do a matt/satin finish on the whole axe) matching headstock with silver logo
unfinished bevels

in short, it's gonna look like this:

it really is an early christmas present, cos it'll be done somewhere around that time

I don't think I've ever seen a Maple necked Rhoads, should be interesting. So, is Laz building it? With Miracle Man? Dude, that should be sweet. The Miracle Man alone costs more than I weigh, or else I'd have one already. How many pints of blood did you have to sell?

the axe will be done sometime around mid december (laz said 12 weeks, but i said there's no rush, so i'm expecting it a bit later.)

how much blood?.. well, just for the finish :laugh2:

You're the man, Davey. I can't wait to see the finished product! From the picture it looks pretty bad ass, but in person it will look 100x better, I'm sure.

It´s beign built by an independent builder from teh UK, not J/C

Well, I'm sure a good builder will make you a great one. Don't feel bad, I can't afford a CS either, and I'm sure it's even more to get it shipped that far (and all the currency exchange, etc.).

I'm definitely interested in seeing it, now, and hearing how it plays and sounds.
