Latest project guitar COMPLETE!

TwilightOdyssey

Darkness on the edge of Tone
This project took way longer than I wanted it to; too much stuff got in the way. But it's at 99% completion now. Plays/sounds great. Not thought of a name for it yet.

no locking nut with the floyd?? how come?

Other than that, looks fabulous!

Re: Latest project guitar COMPLETE!

Looks awesome!

I've found 1 of those Gunslingers for £400 btw! :D

Re: Latest project guitar COMPLETE!

Don't need the locking nut. Sounds better without it, too.

+1 The Floyd bridge gets a bad rap for hurting a guitar's tone, but the locking nut deserves a share of the blame. My SL3 sounds so much better without the nut locked down that I just leave the pads and screws off full time. It still stays in tune pretty well.

Plain jane... pretty cool!

No volume control through?

Whats the switch do? on/off?

"El Cabron"

NOT to be messed with!

A very purposeful guitar there mate:friday:

Re: Latest project guitar COMPLETE!

Nice!

Floyd or no Floyd, I'd be concerned about tuning using ANY trem and no less than 3 string trees, though...

Re: Latest project guitar COMPLETE!

You suck. ;)

I know, I know!

You've given me the idea of getting the Gunslinger, changing the locking nut to something similar to those on the Allparts site mentioned above and putting a set of locking machine heads on it.

I have that arrangement on my Eggle with the Floyd and it works great :D
