Dunno why, but when I look at it I keep thinking "mirror pickguard," kinda like that one Michael Amott V.

I hate mirror pickguards. Too much flash.

Ahhh glad it all worked out in the end. I think it looks great! But i must be the only one who thinks it would look better without the pickguard It would just show off more of that fantastic colour.

lol I love the pickguard. I think what makes it better is the fact that I haven't seen any Stars, Charvel or otherwise, with a pickguard on it. makes this very unique and extremely sexual, at least to my eye

What notch thingy? Don't want a clear one. The only options I was entertaining was white or black to create some contrast. Black is more metal though lol.

As for the chrome s/c surround - hate them. They're far too big and ugly.

Wow .... Totally worth the extra trouble for sure ... The headstock shape is wicked, and the pick guard makes the whole guitar unique. It's just aggressive looking enough, with a bit of - how do I put it - retro, or something ? Maybe it's your ferrule rig ... I find it doesn't take anything away from the overall look, and the no inlay thing was totally the way to go. Awesome !

I seriously love how the pickguard just completely changes the overall vibe of the guitar. Can't believe I didn't think of it earlier. It almost didn't even make it, but then I decided last minute to put it on and make it very slightly reminiscent of an Explorer pickguard. I think I made the right choice.

the ferrule riser...you kinda notice it, but I'm glad I decided to make it the same colour as the rest of the body, cuz it's not glaring at you like a third eye or a second nose or something. A friend of mine said it actually makes the guitar look more pointy lol

The Pickguard makes it look very Classy, sort of gives it a vintage vibe.
