Custom Shop El Diablo For Sale

I have a guitar that had two of these bad boys installed! Wanted something different for more range and versatility so I swapped the bridge ED out and now have it for sale. Paypal only, USA only. I know these things are fairly pricey (about 150.00) and seem to be difficult to come by. I don't see any used or new ones for sale.

All reasonable offers will be entertained and the rest will wind up in the can :butkick:

Re: Custom Shop El Diablo For Sale

How do people post with and keep 0 posts. I don't know what it is or means, but why?

Re: Custom Shop El Diablo For Sale

posts in the trading post dont go towards your post count

Re: Custom Shop El Diablo For Sale

ooohh I see. so some people are just trading post dudes. thanks scottish, I've been wondering that from day one.

Re: Custom Shop El Diablo For Sale

Yeah I only found out about the non-post count for trading post posts a month or so ago and I've been on here for years. My post count would probably be closer to 3000 by now if they all counted from here.

Was there a price listed for this pickup or did I miss it?

Re: Custom Shop El Diablo For Sale

I hope you're including the pickup ring w/ it. If not your buyer is going to be real unhappy when he gets it and finds out a standard ring does not fit and has to call the Duncan custom shop to get another.

Re: Custom Shop El Diablo For Sale

yeah and for an extra $15 he can go right to the custom shop and get a new one boxed with screws/springs.

Re: Custom Shop El Diablo For Sale

That's fine I have no problem either way whether they get it from me or Duncan direct it is what it is. No reason to be nasty about it, if I need to make adjustments to the price so be it. I'm open to offers as I stated when I first posted this.

As far as the ring goes if I can use a standard surround on my replacement pickup I'll include the "ring".

I've rarely seen these on ebay and when I do they do go for 150.00 so that's what I based it on. I'm going to call SD tomorrow to see what the actual cost is and how long it takes to get one and I'll be getting back to you.

I'm open to offers in fact my auction even states so but I'm not gonna give it away. I'll keep it myself and use it in another rig and if need be get the ring for it too.

Re: Custom Shop El Diablo For Sale

I wasn't being nasty. I was giving you a heads up since I've already went through this in the past when I bought one off Ebay and the Joker didn't include the ring. So I had to jump through some hoops to get another one. Just trying to save you and your buyer some headache and hassle. Just about any pickup you do buy to replace it is going to fit in a standard ring. The Diable aka The Iommi is wider than any of the standard production run Duncans. Thus require a custom cut ring.

I'll save you some hassle of even calling the CS for a price. They are $160 + $7shipping for a brand new one and depending on the load of the custom shop, normally around a 2 week wait...usually a lot less. I'm not going to bag on your price. Charge what you want for it. Some one may very well buy it for $150. I got lucky and only paid $45 for mine and I didn't like it either and I do believe that to this day forum bro XSSIVE still has that very pickup. Good luck, sorry if you thought I was being an Ahole.

Yeah I wasn't trying to be a jerk either, I just would be a little miffed if I spent $150 for a used pickup and it didn't have that ring it needs. I scored one cheap from member KBRR here for $75 or $80 and I made sure it had the ring.
