how similar to the twangbanger is this pickup? i am considering the twangbanger for my strat, but this has got me re-thinking!

The twangbanger is more teleish, this is still very much a strat pup, but just more of it. The twangbanger uses the formvar wire whereas this uses the regular enamel. Also the obvious difference about the copper plate on the twangbanger.

It is beefy from the overwinding but smooth from the A2 mags. The twangbanger will be the cheaper way to go, but won't have as much DC Resistance.

A splitted stag mag has around 8k and also Alnico II - i wonder if the sound would be close to your pickup.
