2005 faded flying V that has been modified quite a bit.

The satin finish was stripped and the cherry stain removed leaving it brown. It was then shot with thin coats of nitro to give it a little sheen, but not polished to a gloss, so it still looks porous and feels like satin, just a little more shine to it.

The pickguard was replaced with a Black one cut for P90's, the guitar was not routed as they come stock ready to accept either humbuckers or P90's. The pickups are a Wolftone Mean (approx 8k) & Meaner (approx 10k) set. These P90's are awesome!! man Wolfe makes a good pickup. Also has CTS pots and a Hoveland Musicap (cant remember the value).

The tuners are from one of my previous historics, so they are the narrow vintage style, with a bushing adapter to fit the larger hole. They are stamped Japan inside the house identical to my Gotohs, so I suspect they might be made by Gotoh.

I also added Schaller strap lock buttons. I had a plain black truss cover, but I misplaced it during the refinish and had to put the stock white one back on. I don't think it looks as good, but you can replace it if you like. I think a cream one would look great.

Guitar is straight, has good frets and plays low and easy. There are some minor dings here and there, but no damage and nothing significant enough to worth mentioning. Overall it has a very 70's vintage hot rod kind of vibe going on, which is what I was shooting for. Its very light and sounds killer - clean to mean. Gotta love P90's. It comes with the beat up, but fully functional case shown.

Why am I selling? This is one of 2 V projects I just completed, and some recent GAS purchases (ES-335 and an amp) force me to unload a few things to offset the cost. This one gets less play time than my other so it must go. I wouldn't doubt that I'll regret it and build another one later on, but that's a future GAS problem to deal with, LOL.

I took pics with and without flash, the flash tends to make the grain pop out a little more, and shows a little more red color. Pics without flash look a little more like the truer brown color, but aren't as clear. Sorry, I'm not the best photographer.

$725 shipped & paypal'd lower 48.

Nice. I like the Faded Flying V's. I've got a stock one, and now I find myself wishing I had an extra eight bills sitting around.
