Anybody use a EVH D-tuna with their Floyd Rose? I was thinking about getting one ..........and do you reccommend using the hipshot tremsetter or just blocking the bridge, personally i like pulling up on the tremolo from time to time so i would like to keep from blocking it if i could but what do you guys reccomend? I'm new to the world of Floyds but i reallly like mine . Thanks alot!

The way it is on the Peaveys, the tremolo is made to not float. I don't have any experience with the Temsetter, but I imagine it'll work fine as long as the tremolo doesn't move until you actually wiggle the bar... :)

Other words, as long as the change in string tension (tuning, string bending, etcetera) don't affect the bar.

If you want to be able to pull up, you'll have to install a tremsetter to use the D-Tuna.

I have a D-Tuna on my Rock Legend and it's a blocked Floyd (ie, only goes down). I know you can't have a floating Floyd with the D-Tuna, and it's my understanding that a tremsetter will work as well.

I don't need a d tuna i just use the fine tuner for tuning dropped. I have my trem blocked.
A friend has a Floyd with 5 springs. It is very hard. I could imagine you nearly can drop tune this without tune the hole guitar.
But I guess a tremsetter or blocking is the way you have to go...
