Damage Control pedals

I've tried the Womanizer but it seemed not-quite-right to me. Someting about the top being harsh and the bottom a tad flabby. My perception anyway. That said, I'm interested in trying the Solid Metal. Any thoughts on Damage Control?

I own a Womanizer. I wouldn't call its low end flabby, it is just a little loose. I keep the bass control on mine at 9:00AM. And the high end is not harsh IMHO, it is just detailed. I keep the treble control at 11:00-12:00. But to each his own.

Yeah, it wasn't BAD by any means. Beats the hell out of most any solid state pedal. I'm just hoping for a tighter sound overall.

The truth is I wanted a tighter sound too. But now I've got used to the looser feel, though it was at first very hard to control my playing to sound really tight. But this is what you pay for a pure class A sound.
The Demonizer has a combination of class A and class AB circuits, and should sound tighter IMHO. I was just frightened by its scoop control and the lack of a bass control. But everyone says it has less bass than the Womanizer.

I tried the solid metal, It wasn't bad, but I liked my Jeckyl and Hyde better. I sent it back. I ordered the INdyguitarist Pinnacle 2 which I can tell is a little bit more high quality than the J&H and is not as compressed...not sure if I am going to keep it...but you might want to check it out

Try the Demonizer. It's a really cool pedal and the EQ is to die for. I compared it to the Solid Metal and the Demonizer won hands down.

The demonizer is the best Distortion pedal/preamp i ever played!!!The control ,the voicing ,and the sound qulaity is perfect!
