dan armstrong rock pickups

anyone know what s\d pickup sounds like the rock pickup on the dan armstrong clear guitar( like dave grohl played) please help

Don't know which SD pup will sound like the DA rock model, but FWIW Kent Armstrong can build you a pup to your specs which will drop into those lucite guitars, which have a unique mounting system. Don't know if you're looking for a pup which will fit into the clear guitars, or if you are just looking for the sound of that particular pup. Welcome to the forums!

Is that the Rock Monster pickup that looks like an EMG sort of, with the silk screened Dan Armstrong logo on the black plastic cover? I played one in the early 90's in a Westone guitar and have been on a quest to find one since then.

FWIW, unless you are putting the pickup into a lucite guitar it will not sound anything like it should...those guitars have a very unique tone even with "normal" pickups.
