hmm, we have quite the peer pressure at this forum :laugh2: After hearing your many positive testimonies about the famous Duncan Custom in a Les Paul, I had to buy a new one.. it's your fault :grumble: :D

I used to have a Custom and changed the magnet in it twice, to derive both the C5 and CC.. all good and fun - but I did not have the Les Paul / Plexi setup back then.. I really feel the need to hear the Custom with this rig :32:

I like your idea of 2 Les Pauls, one with a vintage pickup setup and one with a hotter setup :saeek: :headbang: .. we just need more guitars for all of these pickups, don't we :naughty: :laugh2:

Full report and clips soon...

Re: Darn it Simon_F!

Def the SH5 w/ a 59n is prolly my fave hard rock/older metal combo from the Duncan line in a LP or other mahog body/neck guitar.

I'm setting up my 2 Gibsons sorta the same way,..The Firebird will be my "gain" setup, and I think I'm gonna keep the LP and put a pair of 59's in it for the "vintage" sounds.

Ha ha! The Duncan Custom is bootylicious in a Les Paul! :32:

You can't help but ":D" when you play it!

Actually, talking of new guitars, I've been thinking about getting a Flying V to put my Custom in. :naughty:

A "V" would be very cool.....You might also consider the Explorer Pro. Very cool smaller version of the "E"
