i ordered these pickups about 2-3 months ago, was told theyd be 3 weeks, they still havent come, and i was wonderin if anyone else in australia has got theres yet, or if anyone knows how long they may be?

Dominant Music are the distrubutors of Seymour Duncan here (australia). They dont order pickups from SD per customer, they wait until they get s***loads of orders and get them in bulk about once every 3 months. I'm currently in the same situation as you. I ordered my APH-1n around the same time as you and I got told the same thing. I've been in regular contant with dominant music and all the pickups should be here now and getting shippied out to stores this week. Good luck.

guys... i WAS in the same predicament... wanted the aph1-b but no one had them in stock in australia. i got the usual; "we can order them in though". so i thought, screw that! i mean, what, you order them, wait 3-4 weeks (best case scenario), pay $149 AUD (was cheapest i found), nope, didnt want that.
so i went on the guitarpartsresource.com website, ordered them there. came to a grand total of $109 AUD (that INCLUDES postage) and only waited a week and a half. couldn't be happier with their service. i've ordered from them before and you can trust them 100%
australian music stores are rip offs! ive seen places charging $250 AUD for these pickups. it's ridiculous! its a shame we cant keep money on our own shores, but if it means waiting a couple months LESS, spending $40 LESS, then its a no-brainer, my cash is going to the states!
think about it next time.

can i ask who you ordered the mustain sets through?
They were supposed to be released worldwide around april time, but were delayed hence a delay in getting them to Aus.
And yes.. we dont just get pickups in small batches..as you can imagine,Australia is awhile away from the states...there is shipping, taxes, customs and other charges all along the way and we need to get a good amount of stock to make the order balance out so guys get pickups at good prices, otherwise your pickups would be double the price!
Sometimes its also a case of keeping up with demand and being able to supply enough pickups for the world! Seymour Duncan have to cater for a plethora of distributors worldwide and a massive amount of dealers in the states alone, so from time to time, things are going to be out of stock whilst they are being manufactured, prior to us getting the pickups. So we will sometimes wait for more pickups to be in stock.
This is not always the case... most times pickups are in stock a plenty.
It's just so happens that with a new model such as the Mustain, it has taken some time getting it out here.
Thanks for your patience however..the Mustain Set's and APH pickups are arriving this week and will be sent out to stores next week!

It will be intresting to see what comes 1st, the APH1n that I ordered 3 months ago, or the Jazzmaster Vintage set I ordered this morning that are currently in stock at the distributor. lol

ummm... was my post invisible? SEYMOUR DUNCAN AUS... why are the prices just so damn high? i should be paying around the same price in a shop as i would buying online from the states... i understand YOU dont set the prices, stores do. but i think its a major problem here in australia and one that needs to be addressed.
I got my aph1-b without ANY probs directly from the states in under 2 weeks from ordering. why on EARTH should i wait 3 months and pay $100 more to get it locally, it just doesnt make sense.
if you order in BULK then postage per pickup is less, usually you get a deal for buying bulk, etc etc. so the store prices should be equivalent to, or around $10-15 more than what it costs me to order from the states.
maybe im just a small fish to you guys and my comments dont bother you. but ive bought 4 duncans and all were ordered from the US. and everytime someone in a forum (not neccessarily just this one) mentions buying a SD, i point them to US websites.
i absolutely LOVE the b.s. guitar stores tell ya to get you to buy from them:

"yeah but you gotta pay huge custom taxes mates" - nope, never, only if its MORE than $1000AUD
"but it might come broken, then you're stuffed" - why would a quality SD pickup arrive broken? even if it did im SURE there'd be a return policy
"might get lost in the mail then you're out of pocket without a pickup" - well 4 of my pickups have all arrived JUST fine. if you're THAT worried ask them for registered postage or insurance or something
"you can't trust those websites" - if you do your research you can
one that i got recently reffering to strings... i was trying to buy D'addario's, and the guy didnt have my guage in stock, he said they were over priced anyways and offered me ernie balls. i NEEDED strings that day so i bought them... but i told him that i agree that they ARE overpriced because i bought a 3 pack of d'addario's online for a total of $21 (that inclds postage) whereas he (and most others) sold them for around $18 PER PACK. so i basically saved $33 on my 3 packs.
then he goes into this PR Bullsh*t speach that i cant trust that because the strings might come "faulty" and i cant do anything about it, but if i buy from a store im protected.
anyways... cut long story short, bought his ernie balls, got home, installed string, high e snapped as i was stretching my strings in. now ive stretched maybe 100 or so sets of strings in my life (thats 600 strings) and never had one snap whilst stretching, so its not like it was MY fault. took it back, you think i was "protected"... F U C K no! cost me $2 for a new e string
anyways, until guitar stores get their sh*t together, my business is going O/S and all those i encounter on this journey of life will be advised likewise.
its sad, very sad. but im not going to just throw my hard earned cash at aussies just for the sake of being aussie. my buck goes to the lowest priced seller i can find. a saving of $33 on the strings, approx $50 per pickup...
i've saved $233 thus far buying o/s, now that aint just petty cash
