Yep me too. I thought he was using JB/JB and JB/Jazz configuration on his guitars... Saw a Mustaine signature guitar somewhere (older Jackson) who had different pups then those, but i m sure it were stock duncans as well (maybe Invader but i m not sure).pac112 said:

as far as i know he is still using the JB in stock form,but it is not inconseivable that he asked the custom shop to make him a sig pup?
maybe evan can clear this up the best?
dave used the JB/JB in his jackson king V's then when he went to ESP he started using the jazz in the neck spot along with the JB in the bridge.The JEM Ghost said:

They were supposed to be making him one for use in his new ESP sig guitar. I was looking at the ESP website yesterday and they are advertising a standard JB. To the best of my knowledge it was going to be based on the JB and for at least the first year would only be available in the ESP sig.

dave leaked it himself somewhere saying duncan is making him a signature pickup. evan confirmed it afterwards, allthough noone but the guys at SD know what it's gonna be.

To me, the classic Mustaine sound is a JB + JMP-1 ... it will be interesting to see how far off the signature pup is from this sound.
