DC style guitar w/ P90s

Re: DC style guitar w/ P90s

Get a used USA Hamer and install a set of Phat Cats.

Good prices, and quality that rivals (and in most cases exceeds) Gibson's.

All the Eastwoods have been better than avarage Korean quality and they are all funky!!!

Big giant meh. They're overpriced, and they're basswood. BASSWOOD. P90s in a basswood guitar? No.

I played one of the eastwoods with P90s. Even in basswood, you should still get some of the P90 flavour, but nope. Nothing. I'd use it for Sonic Youth, but never Neil Young.

Overpriced? I haven't seen one over $450 yet & I can't consider anything on that level pricey by any stretch. I can't really comment much on basswood, don't pay much attention on lower line guitars but I thought most Ibanez guitars are basswood. They play well, have some cool styling and are a lot of fun to pick up, plenty of style and function for what it costs.

For the record, I don't like the basswood Ibanez guitars either.
