Trying to make a tough decision here. The dfh and dime o flame have identical features except for the bridge pickup. The dfh has the bill lawrence l500xl and the dime o flame has the dimebucker. I've heard mixed reviews about he dimebucker but I know that the bill Lawrence pickup is what dime used and I haven't heard anything bad about it but the retarded thing is the:

The dfh costs $900 the dime o flame costs $600 but the dfh's bridge pickup(only difference other than finish which is made the same way the dime o flame's finish is) costs half as much as the dimebucker but somehow that equates to the dfh costing more...

Re: Dean from hell vs dime o flame

As far as the cost, the DFH is a more popular guitar thats why its cost more. Nothing to do with hardware. Which one to choose i would go with the DFH. Never liked the flame on the dime o flame always though it looked cheap. Plus the DFH is a classic if your a dime fan you can't beat that guitar. Don't worry about which pickups, easy fix if you don't like the L-500XL. As a huge Dime fan I've been gas'n for a DFH lately.

RIP Dimebag

Re: Dean from hell vs dime o flame

I'd go with the Dime-O-Flame. It looks sick and has the Dimebag tone. The DFH is cool, but I prefer the paint scheme of the Washburn USA Dimebolt guitars of the '90s. The Dime-O-Flame is also a unique graphic and not copied by every fanboy that has a pointy guitar. Plus, they go for about $200-250 on Craigslist around here.

Dean Cadillac FTW! All the class of a Les Paul, and a little extra sexy. PG/Custom set for all around rock/metal goodness!

Re: Dean from hell vs dime o flame

Is there a reason for wanting either one of those guitars/finishes specifically? You'd be better off buying a 79 MLF, honestly. If I had to pick one of those, though. I'd pick the DFH but, only for the V-neck.

Re: Dean from hell vs dime o flame

I kind of wanted one of the Dime guitars, but was convinced by people here that they are kind of cheap guitars, inflated in price by Dime's name. I'd love a high quality DfH though.
