Re: Dean guitars
I like the PRS SE series as well...excellent builds usually...I just find they also usually have Schecteritis...i.e. dead as a doornail..
THOUGH...the day I got my hamer I played a KILLER SE singlecut with buckers....VERY Resonant, and built quite well. Played like butter...best SE I've experienced by far.
Don't get me wrong...I really like the Dean neck. I'll say this...I can play faster on the Dean neck...but I wear out quicker, and I've got to be on top of things (i.e. my technique). I'm more of a riffer, chugga chugga type rhythm guy, and my lead work (if you could call it that :laugh2: ) is more...hot-rod 70s pentatonic type stuff. The Hamer suits that style better, whereas I think the Dean neck is better for the super fast legato/running scales all over the neck type stuff. And the upper fret access on the ML is just unequaled except by a regular "V".
