Apparently the first one went to Corey from trivium. It looks pretty sick \m/

Re: Dean Razorback V

Actually the body needs to be a little bigger. I think it's a baby V model.

Re: Dean Razorback V

Sweet! I agree the stock should be smaller. Funny, Corey was a Die hard Jackson player and Heafy was Gibby LP player and now WHAM!! They are Dean players.

This thing is pretty much his sig model, lol.

The body looks like the perfect size, the headstock could be smaller but it still looks freaking awesome \m/

You guys like his pants too? and for some reason the more I look at that pic the more it looks like it's photoshopped somehow, lol.

'nother pic...I think it might just be the ridiculously bright paintjob which is making me think that.

Re: Dean Razorback V

I've taken a liking to the regular Razorbacks...not sure I like the V.

I'll say this, those guys at Dean know how to build a guitar..imports are better than anything else I've seen out of Korea/China and nearly as good as the premo Japanese stuff.

The USA guitars can hang with anything I've seen by Jackson, Gibby custom shop, Hamer, PRS, etc...The USA hardtail I played a couple weeks back is one of the finest axes I've ever had the pleasure of handling.

Re: Dean Razorback V

FINALLY!!! Ever since I saw a picture of the first Razorback I though it would look SO much better as a regular V, and no finally they have Razorback V's!

Re: Dean Razorback V

Well I think I like the regular Razor backs have more of an appeal to me, and I think the headstock really suits it well.

I'd love to play one sometime.

Re: Dean Razorback V

that headstock is ridiculously huge and totally destroys the proportions of the axe imo. if the headstock was a tad smaller i'd really dig this guitar

Re: Dean Razorback V

Don't knock the headstock 'til you spend some time with it. Far more to it than aesthetics.

Re: Dean Razorback V

That guitar looks sick ... it's like nearly like the Vixen from Bernie Rico Jr Guitars ... ...

you're right, it's probably a pretty well balanced because of the huge headstock or maybe the guitar gets more resonant because of it. But damn it's looks just so oversized

YOu are absolutely correct...it's Both. Turns the dang thing into a tuning fork, and the balance is much better on the Dean versions (V & Z) than your standard V or Explorer.

I didn't care for it at first either..haven't for 20 someodd years. I like it on the ML best...it's most appropriate (aesthetically) there I think...however, you forget all about how it looks once you start playing it, and even moreso when you pick up a reg V or Explorer.

Re: Dean Razorback V

yea, i saw it... but still.. i want to have MY V :D

kinda like a more rounded double rhoads.
