The bridge needs grounding....NO exceptions. Nothing about a humbucker will do the least bit to stop chassis based noise - period.

Except when they are!

Having active p'ups is the exception where you don't ground the bridge.

Ok. Sorry about that, I don't have that much experience tinkering with humbucker guitars. I thought the main point why humbuckers we're designed was to prevent that noise. (aside the mains hum)
