diamond amplification demos

Re: diamond amplification demos

If my Peavey sounds and feels good ,I can't wait to get my hands on one of these..I like the phantom, but that nitrox sounded pretty good.

Re: diamond amplification demos

the phantom is the head i want ever since i dropped by and they pulled one off the line and said here dude check it out.

I'll do this as a public service for you.

Re: diamond amplification demos

I've played the Diamond and Nitrox heads before through the Diamond 4x12. They do not sound good without significant volume. With significant volume they sound ok, not great... not $2600 great. If a Peavey 6505 vs Diamond Phantom or Nitrox, the Peavey would win. Hughely overpriced in my opinion.

Between the Phantom and Nitrox the Phantom sounded best and more versatile than the Nitrox. They look cool and sound ok.

Yeah. I saw that they picked up Saliva, who put on a GREAT show, but whose tone isn't phenomenal. I saw them back when they were Randall endorsees. That's how I found out about them. Then I realized they were in Houston after I saw their website. I just don't know much more about them than that.

Re: diamond amplification demos

there is a half stack on ebay with a diamond phantom head and diamond cab,for 1700 bucks on ebay right now.thats a lot of cash.

Re: diamond amplification demos

Ravendouglas - Have you tried a Demonizer pedal? It is a high gain dual 12AX7 pedal and it costs a fraction of what any Diamond amp will cost. I'll bet that one of these pedals through your current rig will sound comparable at a much lower overall cost. I'm not bashing Diamond amps by any means, but I don't think they have the market cornered on great high gain tone. You have a lot of options out there my man and great sound can be had in lots of ways.

Re: diamond amplification demos

yea, many people here havnt heard these clips,so this thread is kind of a well guys what do you think thread.that pedal sounds bad a-zs

Re: diamond amplification demos

I know. I own one. I'm such a gear whore... :foot::foot:

I think I'll have to check one of those Diamond amps out in person someday. Vid clips on Youtube rarely do an amp justice. Sometimes they are accurate, but often they make great amps sound like poop. This plus my complete inability to play well is what stops me from ever trying to record clips of my amps. If someone else who CAN play would do the fancy finger-work while I run the camcorder, I'd be quite happy to make clips of all my amps.

Generally speaking, if something sounds good on Youtube, it was either recorded by someone who just got lucky or they really knew what they were doing. Something that records well might not actually sound all that good in person also.

That sounds like a plan for next Summer. I'd only be about 40 minutes away. I'll help you shoot vids of those amps...long as you don't show my ugly mug on camera:lmao:

You've got a deal. We'll zoom in on the guitar. That way the identities of all involved will be protected. : private: : private: : private: :ok:
