Did Dean discontinue the USA Hardtail? They came up with this though...

It sucks that Dean discontinued the USA hardtail. I've been wanting one for a long time and when I finally get a chance to buy one, they get discontinued. Dean has come up with a super sweet Les Paul style called the Thoroughbred. A friend of mine just traded his for a Les Paul Supreme which I thought was a stupid decision, but at least I got to play it before he let it go. I am seriously considering replacing at least one of my Les Pauls with one. The last time I got excited about a Les Paul style guitar was a Nick Huber (ridiculously expensive), but the Dean is on par with those and within reach. In any case, I would still prefer to have gotten a hardtail. I guess the only option is to buy NOS or used.

One of my dream guitars was a faded denim Dean Hardtail years ago, so I feel your pain.

You can find Hardtails all over ebay. Very cool guitars IMO, the ones I have played.

I'm personally a Soltero fan. I sub Cadillacs for Les Pauls, however.

I had a limited Forum run Soltero and it was an amazing guitar. I REALLY REALLY hate myself for selling that one..

The Cadillac is on my wish list. I had a dean icon years ago. I regret selling it now. But a buddy has it and I told him I get first dibs on it if he sells.
