Did Gibson Discontinue the Doublecut Les Pauls?

I'm looking over the Gibson website, trying to decide if I want to pony up the cash for a doublecut faded Les Paul with P90s and its nowhere to be found...

Does anyone have the official word on whether or not Gibson discontinued them? It looks like all the Les Paul doublecuts are missing from the site. Apparently we need a digital, supreme, standard premium plus, robot, standard, traditional (this ones new to me), classic antique, classic, studio premium plus, and studio which are all essentially the same guitar with minor changes, but P-90s are too radical to include in the product line.

Thats an old page that is no longer linked to off the Gibson site anymore. They still have pages up for guitar that have been discontinued for several years but they just don't link to them...

Notice on the Les Paul page its nowhere to be found:

The more I look at Gibson stuff, the more I appreciate Epiphone. Now, if only they would pick up the Junior/Special/Doublecut line...

Call me crazy, but I think the DC LP's are fugly. I love LPs, they're the best lookin axes out there, but the DCs do nothing for me. They'd be A LOT cooler if they were shaped more like Matt Pike's first act or the ibanez sgs.

This is the one I was referring to for those that weren't sure. Not that I have anything against the other DC Les Pauls, they're all underrated as far as I'm concerned, but for the most part this one represents something not offered in any other form throughout Gibson's product line (custom shop excluded).

Discontinued or not, those faded DC's with P90s are on eBay constantly.

If Gibson isn't making them anymore I'd look for a used Hamer.

Heck, even if Gibson IS still making them, I'd still look for a used Hamer.
