Did I make a good choice?

Hey first time poster here, I have a wolfgang that I wanted a pickup swap and I put a Custom Custom in the bridge and 59 in the neck, my luthier buddy said that its a great decision, the two should really work well in the guitar and Im going for more of a classic sound...supposed to be getting the guitar back today but for some odd reason Im fairly uneasy about the whoel thing....currently i'll be running the guitar through a splawn quickrod...any dissenting oppinions?

Won't get any dissenting opinions from me in that particular guitar. That's the type of axe where I think a CC is best suited (bolt-on neck" supa-strat"). should do quite well ...perhaps the 59 *may* be a tad bright/twangy depending on the unique tone properties of the particular piece of wood you have.

I think you'll enjoy it :) and welcome to the boards!

Take it home, play it for a few hours, and you´ll know whether you made a good choice or not.... only YOUR ears can tell you that ;)

hey thanks guys for the opinions...yeah I kinda figured that even if I researched everything to a tee, the only way I was ever going to gifure it out, is plugging in and letting the guitar speak for itself...

That's the truth!

I would've gone with a neck pickup with less bass myself...a Pearly Gates.

But if you're happy that's all that matters...
